NovaCell 2 filters by Superior Filtration Products are a pleated, high efficiency, MERV rated media filter designed for use in most commercial, industrial, and specialty installations with minimal or no modification to the existing system.

NovaCell 2 filters are designed for use as prefilters and/or primary filters. They can also be used as secondary filters in multi-staged systems. For example, to trap “fines” in a carbon absorber system before they impinge on the primary filters. NovaCell 2 filters can be installed in NOVABurke frames, C-Trac Modules, EnviroSeal and EnviroLock housings and similar existing hardware.

Important Product Features:

• Variable Radius Wedge pleats reduce end loss and dramatically minimize pressure drop.
• Metal backing grid minimizes media movement.
• Die-cut, two piece frame provides maximum strength and durability.
• MERV Media to help with LEED credits.

Energy costs can total over 10 times the initial cost of a standard pleated filter, and 4 to 5 times the initial cost of a higher efficiency final filter, over the life-cycle of the filter. While no individual product may be LEED certified, the use of high efficiency, lowered pressure drop NovaCell 2 filters can help with LEED certification in several areas. For example, by reducing current loads on the HVAC system motor a credit may be earned for fulfilling LEED-EB & NC Energy and Atmosphere/Prerequisite 2. Further credits may be available for Materials and Resources/Prerequisite 1.1, Energy and Atmosphere/Credit 1 & 5, Indoor Environmental Quality/Credit 3, 4.1, and 5.1.
